With today's modern technology, photographic artwork can be printed or adhered onto an amazing variety of substrates. Traditional prints, high-quality cotton fine art paper, maple wood, brushed aluminum, standard canvas, and even bright acrylic can be used. Each material has advantages, plus, with a wide variety, you can pick a material that suits your home or office.
High-Quality Cotton Fine Art Paper
The image is printed on Hahnemuhle Photo Rag 308 fine art paper (308gsm weight / ~82# equivalent, Smooth Matte Finish, 100% Cotton, Archival Quality, Acid-Free). The color and smoothness are unparalleled and the smooth matte surface helps blend the image together. Fine Art prints are sold with black 3/16" Gatorfoam backing for support along with mounting blocks - they are ready to hang on the wall as soon as you get them.
Maple Wood Prints
For a warmer, softer look for your home, a photographic wood print provides a unique way to display art. The photo is printed onto light maple plywood - white parts of the image are completely transparent, while lighter parts of the image are semi-transparent showing the woodgrain. This material is great for high-key and light images and less suited for darker / night images. Colors of the image don't pop nearly as much with wood prints compared to other materials. For mounting, both keyhole and cleat mounting are included.
Brushed Aluminum Prints
This high-tech sublimation process prints images directly onto brushed aluminum resulting in a completely different look for wall art. Similar to wood prints, the lighter portions of the image allow more of the aluminum's brushed finish to show through, giving an almost three-dimensional appearance. This material is great for low-key / dark images and night scenes where the highlights can really shine. Colors pop tremendously on this material. The corners are very sharp and can dent extremely easily. All aluminum prints are sold with an inset frame and cleat mounting hardware on the back.
Canvas Gallery Wrap
Canvas prints are one of the most affordable ways to add art to your walls with minimal effort. The image is printed onto a canvas substrate and then stretched over a 2-1/2" frame. This results in an image that wraps all the way around the sides. Gallery Wraps are backed with paper, wall bumpers, and include a sawtooth hanger.
Acrylic prints are beautiful photo prints face-mounted to plexiglass with polished edges. Add an ultra-modern look to your walls with a photo print mounted behind 1/4" of plexiglass. Acrylic prints can be ordered with cleat mounts or stainless steel post mounts.
Traditional Photo Prints
A very affordable option for art prints, traditional photo prints are high-quality digital prints ready for you to have mounted and framed in any way you choose. Photos are printed on Fuji Matte paper which results in very nice color reproduction, deep blacks, and a fine texture that doesn't have any glare. They do not come mounted and are not ready to hang (unless you're putting pushpins in the wall.) Coming soon: custom made minimalist print hanging hardware add-ons.
